The helical cutting dramatically split the pushback or cutting resistance that straight blade brings during cutting at full length. Tear-out to the surface and operation noise is reduced. Individual knives cut a short length of chips or shaving and dust extraction is much easier. This cutterhead can cut stringy wood, hardwood, softwood and artificial materials. If one edge gets dicked or is dull, rotate it a quarter circle to reveal another fresh edge. The insert has four cutting edges and lasts much longer than the HSS blades. Helical cutting requires less motor power. The side edges of the two inserts make rebating possible.
