The heavy-duty helical cutterheads are tailored for applications requiring thick cutting. Our cutterheads feature carbide inserts that are secured in place with wedges, enabling a cutting depth of up to 8 to 10mm in a single pass with the aid of powerful motors. The carbide inserts come in two sizes, 30x12x2.5mm or 30x12x1.5mm, and each insert has two cutting edges that are slightly angled to facilitate shearcut action during feeding.
Replacing a dull or chipped edge is a breeze - simply loosen the wedge, clean the pockets, turn the insert to another edge, and lock it back in place. The setup process is straightforward, and the inserts boast an impressive lifespan that is 50 times longer than HSS blades. The length of the chips produced is equivalent to the size of the inserts, and dust extraction is significantly improved with our cutterheads.
