A Revived Machine: Craftsman 15" Planer

The Craftsman 15" Benchtop Thickness Planer is a timeless machine. Given it's been a while since it was rolled into the market, we've decided to equip one in our shop with our spiral cutterhead. We have a video of the installation up on YouTube detailing the spiral cutterhead installation process.



The spiral cutterhead installed has 80 carbide inserts and 5 spirals, it is engineered for performance.



The planer is highly portable, built out of strong and rigid alloys. After pairing it with our cutterhead, it offers a top-notch quality finish, no tear-out, reduced noise and a longer life span due to the carbide inserts. Each carbide insert can be rotated 4 times and replaced easily, meaning that these blades last up to 10 times more than standard cutterhead blades.
