The torque wrench works great for properly tightening the insert screws on my Sheartak helical cutter head
Sheartak was the only supplier that had a helical cutter for my 2008 JET jointer and I was a bit hesitant when ordering it, not sure that it would fit and concerned that it might require rework or modification in some shape of form. I was pleasantly surprised that it was machined perfectly, fitted without a problem and works like an absolute dream, it cuts like a hot knife through butter. Thanks Sheartak and thanks to all the friendly staff who work there!

Die Lieferung war prompt. Nach 10 Tagen war die Lieferung durch den Zoll und bei mir.
Der Einbau ging mit 3– Krallenabzieher und Flaschenzug als Spezialwerkzeug ohne Probleme zu zweit. Nach 6 Stunden konnte das erst Brett gehobelt werden.
Das Ergebnis wunderbar, wie poliert!
Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Kauf.
Vielleicht könnten Sie alternativ noch eine billigere Versandkostenalternative anbieten.

Straight forward install and priduces a clean cut on figured woods. Strong upgrade.
A beautifully engineered product that was fitted with minimal effort. In use the surface finish achieved is excellent and noise reduction is significant.
I am always cautious with 3rd party equipment of this value as this could not be seen before the purchase was made but I should not have been concerned. Highly recommended and would buy from Sheartak again
Very happy with the new cutterhead. It took about an hour to change and wasn't difficult. The jointer is so much more quiet now. The feed pressure is maybe a little more than a sharp set of conventional knives, but less than with a dull set. The best part is that I never have to change another set of knives, take them for sharpening etc. Tear out is much less and finish is very smooth. I did my planer at the same time and it is like getting a whole new set of tools.My shop is so quiet, and i have not had to clear a shaving blockage with either of them.
Perfect fit and function for my Delta 15” planer. And just as advertised. Much quieter. Very much improved tear out. Grains would have to be gnarly to get tear out. No regrets so far.
cutter head looks and works well, fits perfect .
I do have to admit. I wasn’t sure the difference I could achieve going from 26 cutters (factory original) to 40 on this cutter. But, oh my! It is quieter. A silky smooth surface, and the ability to get two more edges on each cutter (compared to the two edges on the original cutters). I am so glad I made this upgrade!
C3 31 année 1999: remplace parfaitement l'arbre d'origine à 3 fers droits ( dont la portée roulement était endommagée côté poulie ). Après 3 réparations successives j'ai décidé de changer l'arbre. J'ai découvert sur internet Sheartak qui proposait cet arbre spiral. Non seulement mon problème est résolu, mais le confort d'utilisation et la qualité de coupe sont remarquables. C'est une autre machine! Merci Mike pour la qualité des échanges qui ont précédés ma décision d'achat. Les frais de douane sont gérés par UPS, et payés à la livraison.

The cutters are well designed, easy to install and leave a great smooth finish. So much better for planing figured wood than my old steel knives.
I had purchased a cutter for my jointer and was so impressed I bought this one as well. Installing was a bit time consuming, but it was well worth it. My planer runs much better than it did even when new. It's quieter, smoother, and faster than the bladed cutter was.
