Sponsoring a 14-year-old self-taught woodworker

A child's dreams are boundless and Sheartak helped 13-year-old Riley Rohrer to be a step closer to his dream. Rohrer is a young self-taught woodworker operating and managing his own business called Riley's Workshop. Starting from DIY projects, he has expanded his expertise into making custom and commissioned furniture pieces. With the support of his parents and friends, Rohrer also began his own YouTube channel featuring his amazing works and tool reviews. Sheartak is proud also to be a part of his support system, and has sponsored his latest video and providing Rohrer with a free spiral cutterhead to upgrade his Grizzly planer.

Sheartak Tools

The spiral cutterhead for the Grizzly 13-inch planer G0889 is equipped with 48 carbide inserts. With 4 indexable edges on each side, it will increase the machine's lifetime as they only need to be replaced only when all four sides are dull. They create an angled feeding to the board, generating a shear cut and eliminating tear-out. The spiral cutterhead will ensure a better, smoother finish on softwood and even on highly figured lumber. It also dramatically reduces operation noise and sanding work, making dust extraction much easier. Each Sheartak cutterhead is shipped with a standard kit of 5 extra carbide inserts, 5 extra screws and a wrench as free parts. They also come with Japan-sealed bearings for life use.

as well as his other woodworking builds. With a newly upgraded planer and Rohrer's great aspirations, he will surely take his skills to the next level.
